Liestal large-scale heating network

With two of our warm water biomass boiler systems, the heart of the new heating centre in Liestal, Switzerland, will soon start beating. In June 2020, the modernisation of the large Liestal heating network began. The dismantling and new construction work will be carried out in parallel, but coordinated in such a way that existing customers can rely on their convenient and practical heat supply throughout. With a total output of 19 megawatts, our two AGRO biomass boilers ensure that around 90 per cent of the energy used in the Liestal’s future large-scale district heating network will be renewable – exclusively wood from regional forests. In the hands of a highly qualified team of professionals – experts who learned their trade from scratch and have many years of experience – the work is moving forward so that operation can be switched over to the new wood boilers in the autumn of 2021.
